Dear Sapphire Coast Runners Members and Bega Fun Run entrants

I am writing to you to advise of some changes that have been necessary ahead of this Sunday’s Bega Fun Run.

Entry numbers are lower than anticipated and the viability of the event was under a cloud.The committee has made the following decisions to ensure that the event goes ahead.

•  The official timer of the event has been cancelled. The event will now be “hand timed” by our volunteer team on the day. This may result in the slower than usual posting of the results and I ask that you bear with us while they are processed. Please note that all entrants will need to collect their race bibs on Sunday morning before their events.
• Prize money for individual categories has been reduced. The revised amounts can be found on our website.

I also ask that you spread the word and encourage anyone who hasn’t yet signed up for the Bega Fun Run to do so ASAP.

We look forward to seeing you all on Sunday morning in Bega!
